Madhujeet Chimni is also a founder and Chairman at Blue Planet Environment Solutions Pte. Blue Planet is a global company driving regional sustainability through technology driven and IP based end to end solutions, for waste management and up-cycling.
Blue Planet aims to become an industry leader in sustainable and socially inclusive end-to-end environmental solutions.
Prior to Blue Planet MJ was a founder of other successful companies such as Stone Apple and In.Corp which were built on roll-up strategies and have made strong returns to shareholders.
He comes with vast experience in incubating and growing firms across multiple industry verticals globally. He has a successful track record of structuring consolidation and roll-up based deals with a global presence with extensive experience in M&A in the services industry and a proven track record of structuring successful exits.
In 2015, MJ co-founded Helix Capital with Bharadwaj Chivukula, with an aim to nurture promising entrepreneurs and to help them grow their businesses. Since then, Helix Capital has made a number of strategic investments, delivering returns of more than 10 times the invested capital – relying on core investment philosophy and values.
Tak Wai has 20+ years of global track record in accelerating business growth and creating strong returns to shareholders.
He was most recently Head of Southeast Asia, Mid Market, EQT, where he was part of the leadership team responsible for managing various mid-market private equity funds with aggregate AUM of over US$2bn.
Majority of Tak Wai's experience has been in control buyouts and co-control investments, with recent experience in roll-up and consolidation strategies, in particular in corporate service and technology sectors; he was responsible partner and board directors for 10 mid-market investments while at EQT.
Tak Wai practices a global perspective with a strong focus on operational focused investing; before 12 years at EQT (Hong Kong and Singapore), he spent 7 years with Lehman Brothers (New York and Hong Kong).
His transaction experience covered the US, Greater China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Australia.
KV is presently the Chief Executive Officer at XLSure India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of XceleratePte. Ltd.
Prior to this, KV was leading the Corporate Finance practice of Ernst & Young LLP in the southern region of India.
KV joined Ernst & Young initially in June 2000 and was part of the Corporate Finance team till September 2009. In September 2009, KV joined KPMG as a Partner to set up and lead the Corporate Finance practice of KPMG in South India.
KV returned to Ernst & Young LLP in September 2016 as Partner Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice.
KV started his career in 1996 with Ind Global Financial Trust Ltd (IGFT), a boutique Investment Bank and was with IGFT till June 2000. IGFT was subsequently acquired by Arthur Andersen.
During his career with EY, KPMG, and IGFT, KV was involved in several private equity/ structured debt funding transactions, inbound & outbound M&A transactions across multi-culture, multi-regulatory environments. He also has significant capital market experience as he has handled several IPOs, Rights Issues, Open Offers and Buyback offers.
Ramki is an Advisor to Xcelerate and he is a Director on the Board of Aparajitha Corporate Services Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of Xcelerate.
Ramki has 28+ years of experience with 26+ years of experience in Venture Capital /Private Equity - Kotak PE, Carlyle Group & ICICI Venture. He was most recently the CEO of Kotak Private Equity, the Private Equity arm of Kotak Mahindra Group, where he was responsible for managing various growth funds with AUM of over $700mn.
Ramki is a Computer Science and Engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal and is a Post Graduate in Management from IIM, Bangalore.
His investment experience spans across Life Sciences, Technology, Retailing and Services and has developed a strong network in these segments. He actively participates on the Boards of his portfolio companies and has helped them scale the businesses while managing growth.
Prior to joining the Kotak Mahindra group, Ramki had stints with Carlyle Asia Venture Partners (CAVP), the Carlyle Group's technology-focused fund, and ICICI Venture, the PE and VC arm of the ICICI Group. Post his graduation, Ramki worked for two years at the Management Services Division of Tata Motors, the largest automobile company in India.
Yogesh has over 23 years of experience in corporate advisory, risk management, and financial advisory in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
A serial entrepreneur, he co-founded, financed, and managed since 2001 three of Asia’s most successful anti-corruption risk and compliance businesses, namely Quest Research, IntegraScreen, and Dataflow — all of which were sold to strategic buyers/private equity after scaling at regional and global levels.
Besides serving on the Board of Aparajitha, Yogesh is also
- a Director on the Board of ethiXbase, an anti-bribery and anti-corruption third-party platform provider based in Singapore,
- an Advisor to EQT — the world’s leading private equity fund
Prior to starting his entrepreneurship journey, he worked in custodial operations and finance and wealth management. Yogesh is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Oracle Financial Consultant.
Porcko is presently the Vice President, Investments at Xcelerate Group. Prior to joining Xcelerate was Vice President in Ernst Young Investment Banking practice based out of Hyderabad.
Porcko started his career as a management consultant in I3c Consulting, a boutique consulting firm, based out of Noida catering to mid corporate clients in GCC regions. Over a 1.5year stint assisted a large family office in KSA in evaluating multiple investments across retail and consumer segments.
Porcko joined KPMG investment banking team based in Chennai in 2015 and worked on multiple sell-side, fund raise and buy-side deals. Subsequently joined EY investment banking team in 2017 and was associated with EY investment baking team until 2022, except for a short stint at Veda a boutique Investment Bank based out of Bangalore.
Porcko has 8+ years of Investment Banking/Investments experience. Initially assisted and over years lead multiple sell-side, buy-side and fund raise deals across sectors with a focus on Industrials, Business Services and Consumer sectors.
Chaitanya joins Xcelerate group after working nearly 11 years with Audit Assurance armof Ernst & Young (EY) India
He has extensive experience in statutory financial reporting including consolidations, corporate and tax compliances, financial advisory, capital market transactions, internal financial controls and management reporting.
In his capacity as Senior Manager at EY, he was responsible for the audits of major Indian/ multinational companies, including Indian listed companiesunder different accounting frameworks (IFRS, Ind AS/ Indian GAAP, US GAAP, etc.).
He has effectively managed client portfolios in various sectors including manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, technology and the construction sector and also advised clients on streamliningand strengthening their internal financial processes.
Ramya is currently the Associate Vice President, M&A and Corporate Finance at the Xcelerate Group.
Prior to joining Xcelerate, Ramya was a Director with Dandu Group- Family Office for one year, leading the identification, evaluation and investment decisions for the family office across equity, debt and other alternative investments.
Ramya initially joined Ernst & Young in the Transaction tax practice in 2016. During her five years of stint with EY, she was involved in advising clients on various Mergers & Acquisitions including cross border deals from a tax and regulatory perspective. Her specialisation in tax includes Transaction advisory & implementation, due diligence, Legal entity rationalisation, Investor acquisition and exit. She has also had experience in audit for three years during her internship with EY.
